GES are expert at optimising the design of networks and pipe systems based on a combination of available source pressure, capital cost, future liability and maintenance. GES has a thorough knowledge and understanding of design criteria, legislation and industry recommendations and this enables new networks to be designed to the maximum advantage of clients.
GES are accredited as 'Designers' under industry registration schemes.
With the exception of a few activities that are currently non-contestable, GES complete the entire works including connections to existing networks. For any non-contestable work, GES manage the process to ensure that there are no delays or excessive costs.
GES guarantee a responsive and efficient service. All construction works are to the highest safety and technical standards. GES operate throughout all available pressure tiers and with all types of material.
Utility Authorities have been required to introduce accreditation schemes for contractors which have subsequently been used as a pre-qualification requirement for pipes and other apparatus installed by them to be adopted by those Authorities. Increasingly there are opportunities to negotiate commercial terms with a range of companies who hold licenses to own and operate networks. GES are able to optimise the commercial aspects of the work by obtaining the best outcomes for its clients. In all cases the new networks are transferred to network owners who immediately take responsibility for all aspects including maintenance and repairs.
