Utility Authorities have been required to introduce accreditation schemes for contractors which have subsequently been used as a pre-qualification requirement for pipes and other apparatus installed by them to be adopted by those Authorities. Increasingly there are opportunities to negotiate commercial terms with a range of companies who hold licenses to own and operate networks.
